'Blue Willow House' featured in My Paper

IM Innovations thinks and does things outside the box, using 3D to push boundaries in the arts.

3D Computer graphics are commonly used in fields like design, science and medicine. However, true to our vision of providing powerful yet innovative 3D and digital media solutions to enhance the way people learn, work and play, IM Innovations has gone outside the box and implemented 3D in an unexpected field - the arts.

In a collaboration between local theatre troupe Musical Theatre Limited (MTL) and Temasek Polytechnic, we presented a 30-minute musical that pushed the technological boundaries for theatre. The musical, 'Blue Willow House', written by local playwright Stella Kon, is presented without physical props. All backdrops were done with 3D digital graphics, including streets, rooms and even a setting sun.

This project was featured on My Paper on Monday, 24 March 2008.
