IM Innovations participated in SIGGRAPH Asia 2008, the first ACM SIGGRAPH Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques in Asia!
Held from 10-13 December, more than 3,200 artists, researches, developers, gaming experts, filmmakers, and academics from 49 countries gathered at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Partnering with Temasek Polytechnic under IDC Asia, IM Innovations showcased the following:
1. The newly released CINEMA 4D R11, the next generation of its highly acclaimed 3D modelling, animation, painting and rendering software suite. The super-charged release is packed with advanced capabilities that deliver dramatically-improved ease of use and workflow, image quality and integration into any production pipeline.
2. 'Beat-by-Beat with 3D!' project, the first of its kind in Singapore - the use of 3D animation and digital effects in a theatre setting. Students in Singapore schools produced these scenes of Singapore Chinatown in 1904.
Auto stereoscopic animation on a special LCD - viewers can soon experience immersion without wearing cumbersome devices at home!
Not only did our booth attracted visitors from countries like US, Middle East, India and China, it also attracted journalists and reporters. There was media coverage in the various mediums - radio, television and print. Channel News Asia, The New Paper and Berita Harian did coverage of the 3D autostereoscopic display.
With 80% of visitors to SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 were from within the region, including Australia and New Zealand, IM Innovations hope involvement in the regional events would result in more 3D IDM projects and collaboration in Singapore and the Asia region.
