In our quest to improve the skill level of our existing Cinema 4D users in ASEAN, IM Innovations engaged motion graphics expert, Tim Clapham, to conduct the first Cinema 4D master class entitled “The Broadcast Pipeline” at the MAXON Authorised Training Centre in Singapore. The master class was held from 8-10 June 2015 and is supported by the Media Development Authority of Singapore.
Tim is the Creative Director of Australian based company Luxx.tv. With over 12 years of industry experience, he is a recognized expert in Cinema 4D and a renowned trainer, having worked with global advertising companies and broadcast networks. His extensive list of clients include companies such as HBO, Discovery Channel, MTV, Ubisoft, Peugeot, and many more.
During the three days course, Tim taught the attendees various advanced techniques that would improve production workflows, especially with MoGraph, simulation, material, lighting and rendering skills. He also shared about Luxx’s project workflows and scene breakdowns for projects such as Ubisoft’s game trailer for Tom Clancy’s The Division. The attendees learned how to create studio lighting for car renders and choose the best render settings, how to create realistic materials using the Reflectance channel, and how to make use of Mograph and simulation to create various motion graphics inventively, among other things.
As a result of Tim’s effective and attentive teaching style, all attendees had the opportunity to receive one-on-one guidance, making sure that all questions were answered promptly. After the master class ended on 10 June 2015, IM Innovations hosted the third Cinema 4D User Networking Session, with Tim Clapham as the guest presenter. Read more about the networking event here.
