3D Painting with CINEMA 4D @ Science Centre Singapore, 16 March 2010

March 29, 2010

Painting has never been more fun, especially when you learn how to paint on 3-dimensional objects.

Using CINEMA 4D BodyPaint 3D software, 80 students from primary and secondary schools, some as young as 9 years old, experienced the ease and thrill of painting an outfit on a 3D character of their choice. The sky was the limit! Participants had fun choosing the accessories and environment to match their creations.

Here are some of the final artwork done by the participants.

This workshop was one of many successful holiday programmes organized by IM Innovations. The aim is to drum up interest in digital media and cultivate a media-savvy youth population. Apart from enrichment programmes, IM Innovation’s 3D Visualization Programme has benefited many government schools and their students for the past 5 years. Some of them include the recent 2009 National Infocomm Club Award (NICA) winners, East View Primary and Northbrooks Secondary.

Here are some snapshots of our young participants @ play.
