Recently, we set off to sunny Philippines to conduct a Cinema 4D training workshop! The training workshop was the first of its kind to be held in Manila, and was a great beginning to our collaboration with De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde (CSB) to develop talent in the Cinema 4D software. Over the course of the 2-day event held over the Eid al-Fitr holiday, the lecturers and students of the College were treated to exciting lessons in the usage of the Cinema 4D software to create mesmerizing pieces of work. Among them was Mr Rafael Daniel, grand winner of the Animahenasyon 2016 and the proud awardee of the Cinema 4D software.
The sessions were taught by experienced CG-artist and MAXON lead instructor, Mr Lars Scholten, and spanned the basics from modelling, lighting and rendering to more advanced techniques like keyframe and character animation, simulations and the usage of MoGraph. Peppering the workshop with assignments at critical points also aided the individuals in learning, interacting and engaging intensively with the instructor as they explored the software and its possibilities.
Lars shared openly about his knowledge and expertise, and his amicable and friendly approach to questions and addressing the students’ queries earned the respect of many attending the workshop. As one of our attendee wrote, ‘Lars was exceptional in explaining and guiding us with the exercises!’
We too, had a lot of fun imparting the knowledge of the wonderful Cinema 4D software! For the artists and creative personnel out there who wants to learn more, do remember to head down for our next event! 😊 We look forward to seeing you!
