A great beginning, a satisfying ending and an afternoon well spent.
With the worldwide launch of the new Cinema 4D Release 19 (R19), we conducted the R19 workshop for our users on 19 September at the MAXON Competence Centre @ Temasek Polytechnic. We were joined by industry professionals and educators who were eager to learn and master the art of creation using the new generation of the Cinema 4D software. Among the participants were creative staff from Mediacorp, FOX Networks Group, Chimney Group, StarHub and Moving Bits, just to name a few.
Under the guidance of our 3D Media Specialist, important revamps and new features were covered in the precious few hours of workshop. Examples include viewport improvements which enable users to bypass the rendering process to view the depth of field in the current scene they are working on. There are also additional enhancements like sorting and detailing added to the Voronoi Fracture function. They offer numbering for easier sorting of the fragments, as well as the greater freedom to be able to create details on each individual piece.
New features include the spherical camera, which slots in perfectly with the current gaming and media trends of virtual reality and experiential immersive gaming environments. The AMD pro-render is also a nod to the wonderful integration of technology brought together by two industry giants – AMD and MAXON – which utilizes the graphics processing unit on top of central processing units to cut down on rendering times to create a more efficient workflow.
Our participants listened intently throughout the workshop, and were excited to be trying their hands on the R19 software as the workshop progressed. After the session, they also made use of the time over refreshments to network with other like-minded individuals to exchange thoughts and discuss about the new features.
The happiness from learning and gaining knowledge comes in many forms, and it certainly shines through from the smiles of our participants!
We will be holding more seminars and several masterclasses soon so stay tuned for more information!
