Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I am interested to purchase CINEMA 4D. What is the purchasing process?
What is MAXON Service Agreement (MSA)?
MAXON Service Agreement (MSA) is a 1-year agreement where customers pay an annual fee to enjoy major software upgrades at no additional cost during the duration of contract. As soon as a new software version is available, MSA participants will receive these automatically, allowing participants to immediately take advantage of all new features and advancements.
Furthermore, with the subscription of MSA, users will now have free premium access to Cineversity. Developed by MAXON USA, an education and training portal with more than 2000 video tutorials, resources and learning materials created by some of the 3D industry’s most celebrated and accomplished artists.
What is MAXON License Server (MLS)?
MAXON License Server (MLS) is required to manage floating licenses. The MLS allows the user to activate and use the licences on any of the computers which are connected to the same LAN. However, the maximum number of concurrent users is limited to the number of Cinema 4D (C4D) licences you purchased. Eg. for floating licenses, you may install C4D software on 10 computers on the same LAN but if you had purchased 2 C4D licences, then a maximum of 2 of these machines can run C4D concurrently. As for non-floating license, they can only be installed on one computer.
